Welcome from the Guild President
Welcome to the official website of the Archconfraternity of St Stephen, the international Guild for Altar Servers of the Catholic Church.
Communication is a key priority for the Central Council and this platform is a one stop shop where you will find all you need to know as an active member of the Guild of St Stephen. Checking in on events, our downloadable resources to support parish MC's, ordering of your guild goods to finding a contact for your diocesan director in England and Wales.
A warm welcome to those who maybe curious and are looking to become affiliated to the Archconfraternity. Here you will find out about the history of the guild, our patrons and what the process is to becoming affiliated. Please take the opportunity to visit our Flickr and YouTube, links below, as well as Facebook, Instagram and X.
Moving the Guild forward is another of the priorities of the Central Council. Collaboration with other Catholic Orders and Societies is key piece of our work as many Altar Servers are also members of organisations such as Knights and Dames of the Holy Sepulchre, The Knights of St Columba, the Catenians, representatives of whom will be at the National Guild Dinner.
The Guild is a full member of the Catholic Youth Ministry Federation (CYMFed) endorsed by the Bishops Conference of England and Wales and is involved with the Flame Event in Wembley. The Guild has a place around the table with 51 representatives from all the dioceses of England and Wales, Religious Orders, Movements and Organisations that are engaged in Youth Ministry.
Looking ahead we are working on an Accredited Certificate for Altar Servers, a Jubilee year Pilgrimage to Walsingham and other initiatives aimed at supporting parishes and dioceses not just in the UK but further afield to our international affiliations in Australia, Barbados, Canada, New Zealand, USA and many others.
